Speed Beam Processing with
StruCIM Cutting
StruCIM takes your structural designs from engineering data to fabricated assemblies within a single, powerful, easy-to-use solution. With StruCIM’s intuitive interface, operators can quickly fabricate complex parts and assemblies with no robotics experience.
There are two main fabrication processes for a large Structural Steel jobs: Cutting the raw beam stock into finished parts, and Welding those parts together to make finished members. Here are several examples of cutting and processing beams to prep for full assemblies.
Clip Angles
A DSTV file of a clip angle is read into StruCIM and modeled as a 3-D clip angle. Then the paths for the robot plasma cutting robot are automatically created to touch and then cut the clip angle from a piece of angle stock. The actual robot is then shown cutting the clip angle.
